It was a night of glamour and celebration in San Salvador, where the annual beauty pageant concluded with Palacios’ momentous win.
This year’s Miss Universe saw participants from 84 countries, all vying for the prestigious title.
The event was judged by a diverse panel, including model Halima Aden, Queer Eye star Carson Kressley, TikTok influencer Avani Gregg, and former Miss Universe winners Janelle Commissiong and Iris Mittenaere.
Despite strong competition, notably from Thailand’s Anntonia Porsild, who was the first runner-up, it was Palacios who ultimately claimed the crown.

At just 23, Sheynnis Palacios is no stranger to the world of pageantry. Hailing from Managua, Nicaragua, she has a history of success in beauty pageants, including winning Miss Teen Nicaragua 2016 and Miss World Nicaragua 2020.
She even made it to the Top 40 in Miss World 2021. Alongside her pageant career, she’s pursued academics, studied mass communications, and has been an avid volleyball player.
