Taylor was outside her home on Friday, 26 April 2024, when she suddenly heard the frightening sound of gunfire.
Approximately seven shots rang out, prompting her to act swiftly to ensure her and her child’s safety.
In a moment of quick thinking, Taylor employed a dance move known as the “Lil’ Kim Dance” to manoeuvre herself and her child to safety.
Describing the tense moments in a televised interview with WTVY News, Taylor said:
“So I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, I’m ducking, I’m dodging, doing my ‘Lil Kim’… I’m trying to get my baby in the car, then I threw my baby in the backseat and we just sped off.”
This dance, characterised by a series of bob-and-weave movements, mimics the action of dodging bullets, a technique Lil Kim famously displayed in the music video for the 1999 remix of Mobb Deep’s Quiet Storm.
