Hiding His Human Identity
Toco’s decision to hide his human identity is driven by the fear of judgment from those who know him.
He prefers to keep his unique hobby a secret from his friends and colleagues to avoid being labelled as “weird.” In interviews, he expressed concerns about how others might perceive his desire to become an animal.
“I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird,” he said.
A Childhood Dream
Toco’s fascination with becoming an animal dates back to his childhood. He reminisces about his dreams of being a hero or a wizard when he was younger, but his ultimate wish was to become a dog and roam freely outdoors.
His childhood dreams have now materialised, thanks to the collaboration with a Japanese company called Zeppet.
Zeppet, a company specialising in creating costumes for TV commercials and films, took on the challenge of bringing Toco’s dream to life. They spent 40 days meticulously crafting the hyperrealistic border collie costume, ensuring it precisely reproduced the appearance of a real dog walking on four legs.
