Renowned comedian Trevor Noah is gearing up to launch an exciting new podcast on the popular audio streaming platform, Spotify.
Trevor Noah Spotify podcast confirmed: Here’s everything we know
The announcement came from Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, who expressed his enthusiasm for Noah’s upcoming Spotify original podcast.
In late 2022, Noah bid farewell to his role as the host of The Daily Show.
However, his comedic talents continue to shine brightly, as demonstrated by his recent Webby Award win in the comedy category for his thought-provoking segment titled America’s Door Problem.
In the segment, Noah used his platform to advocate for gun control and critique policymakers’ responses to mass shootings.

Bill Simmons blasts Meghan Markle for exiting Spotify deal
Noah’s entry into the podcasting realm follows the recent controversy surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who faced criticism after prematurely ending their Spotify partnership after just one season.
Spotify executive and prominent podcaster Bill Simmons voiced his dissatisfaction with the royal couple, referring to them as “grifters” in the aftermath of their departure.
Simmons expressed his regret at not being involved in the negotiation process for Meghan and Harry’s exit from Spotify, humorously suggesting a podcast titled The F***ing Grifters as an alternative.
While Simmons’ comments have garnered attention, it remains to be seen how Archewell Audio, the couple’s production company, and Spotify will respond.
Initially, the partnership between Archewell Audio and Spotify aimed to produce multiple programs. However, only one series and a holiday special were ultimately created.
Titled Archetypes, the series sought to challenge and dismantle the societal labels that hinder the progress of women. It featured Meghan conducting interviews with notable guests such as Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, and Trevor Noah himself.
Markle’s exit came shortly after Spotify announced a strategic realignment, resulting in the reduction of 200 jobs within its podcast unit, amounting to approximately 2% of its global workforce.
Neither Markle nor Spotify has since surfaced with a statement addressing the backlash.
