EA Sports FC 24 Standard Edition | PS4, PS5
EA Sports FC 24 marks a new era in football video games, emerging as the successor to the iconic FIFA series. This latest instalment offers enhanced gameplay mechanics, improved artificial intelligence, and more realistic player movements and reactions, which significantly deepen the immersive experience of the game.
EA Sports has focused on refining ball physics and player responsiveness, ensuring that each match feels unique and dynamic, catering to both seasoned gamers and newcomers alike.
In terms of content, EA Sports FC 24 boasts an expansive roster of licensed teams and leagues from around the world. Players can engage in a variety of modes, including career mode, where they can manage a team or rise as a player, and Ultimate Team, which has been revamped with new features that promote a more rewarding team-building experience.
The game also introduces new stadiums, enhancing the visual appeal and authenticity of watching and participating in a live football match.
EA Sports FC 24 also steps up its game in community and online features, offering more ways for players to compete against each other or collaborate in various multiplayer settings.
The integration of weekly challenges and online tournaments helps keep the content fresh and engaging, encouraging players to come back regularly.
Additionally, the game includes enhanced customisation options for teams and players, allowing gamers to personalise their experience more deeply than in previous versions.
Ghostrunner 2 | PS5
Ghostrunner 2 picks up the thrilling pace and cyberpunk aesthetics of its predecessor, delving deeper into a dystopian world.
The game centres on the Ghostrunner, a cybernetically enhanced warrior navigating a vertical cityscape ruled by a harsh regime.
This sequel enriches the original’s story, offering players a more intricate plot and an expanded universe to explore while engaging in intense, high-speed parkour and combat.
The gameplay in Ghostrunner 2 enhances the original’s challenging mechanics.
Players must skillfully combine swordplay, dodging, and the use of new gadgets to navigate through complex levels filled with tougher enemies and puzzles.
These additions bring fresh dynamics to the game, allowing for more sophisticated strategies and a smoother flow through the beautifully crafted cyberpunk environments.
Visually, Ghostrunner 2 impresses with its detailed, neon-lit settings and a vibrant soundtrack that complements the game’s fast-paced action.
Improved graphics offer more fluid animations and richer environments, enhancing the overall immersion.
This sequel not only continues the legacy of its predecessor but also improves on every aspect, making it a compelling experience for both returning fans and new players.
Tunic | PS4, PS5
Tunic is an action-adventure game featuring a small fox exploring a mysterious world, reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda.
Released in 2022 by Andrew Shouldice, it stands out with charming isometric graphics and gameplay that blends puzzle-solving, exploration, and combat.
The game uniquely uses an in-game manual in a fictional language to convey its narrative and mechanics, turning deciphering and exploration into intriguing puzzles.
This approach deepens the engagement as players piece together the story and game rules independently.
Despite its cute exterior, Tunic offers challenging combat that requires strategic thinking and pattern recognition.
Players face a variety of enemies and bosses, enhancing the depth and appeal of the game, which has been lauded for its innovative design and rewarding puzzles.
Destiny 2: Lightfall*** | PS4, PS5
Destiny 2: Lightfall is the latest expansion of the popular first-person shooter game developed by Bungie.
Released as part of the ongoing saga, it introduces players to a new, neon-soaked city called Neomuna on the planet Neptune. This expansion adds fresh narrative content, missions, and a new raid, deepening the game’s complex lore and expanding the player experience.
Lightfall features significant gameplay innovations, including a new Strand subclass which allows players to manipulate gravity and use it as a weapon or tool for navigation.
The expansion also focuses on enhancing player connectivity and the overall cooperative play experience. With improved matchmaking systems and new Guardian Ranks, Lightfall aims to make the Destiny 2 universe more accessible to newcomers while offering challenging endgame content for veteran players.
