Snoop Dogg has seen his monumental business move muddied by a rape lawsuit and according to the legendary rapper, the timing is a little more than coincidental.
Woman files rape lawsuit against Snoop Dogg
The longtime hitmaker celebrated the lifelong dream of owning Death Row Records, after he acquired he iconic music label from MNRK Music Group, a firm controlled by private equity funds, for an undisclosed fee.
Snoop is also on the heels of headlining the Super Bowl LVI Halftime show with Dr Dre, Eminem, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar and special guests this weekend.
Therefore, in the Gin and Juice rapper’s view, the fresh sexual assault allegations he’s been met with are timeous, to say the least, considering the fact that the woman making these claims alleges she was violated by the star and a friend back in 2013.
Per TMZ, a woman only identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit at a Los Angeles court, accusing the rapper and his longtime associate, Bishop Don Juan, of not only kidnapping, but repeated acts of forced oral sex.
In the lawsuit, the woman claims the incident took place on 29 May 2013 after Snoop’s show in Anaheim, CA. Allegedly, the woman was taken, against her will, to Bishop’s residence where she was forced to perform oral sex.
Thereafter, instead of being taken home as it was initially agreed, the woman claims Bishop lured her to Snoop’s place with an opportunity of a lifetime.
However, Jane Doe claims, things took a turn for the worst when she arrived at the legendary rapper’s recording studio.
According to Jane Doe, Snoop allegedly forced her to perform fellatio while she was defecating and kicked her out of his studio thereafter.
It’s believed the woman is seeking monetary relief totalling $10 million (est. R151 million) in damages. Snoop, however, dismissed the rape lawsuit as a ‘shakedown’.
While the rapper and his associate have yet to formally respond to the allegations, Snoop did drop a sub on Instagram.
