UPDATE: Queen Elizabeth tests positive for COVID-19 – 20 February 2022
Buckingham Palace announced in a statement that Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19, a week after her son Prince Charles caught the deadly respiratory virus. The queen, it’s believed, was tested rigorously after her exposure to her sickly son and had been cleared to resume her public engagements, even sharing a handshake with two maskless guests, who by now may have been infected as well.
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” Buckingham Palace noted.
The queen, much like her son is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

From what we understand, Prince Charles is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Prince of Wales was scheduled for an unveiling of his statue in Winchester. However, his appearance was cancelled in the 11th hour following developments around his health.
As reported by AFP, the Queen may have been exposed to the virus that has swept more than 5.79-million lives.
An unnamed source from within the walls of Buckingham Palace confirmed Queen Elizabeth may have been in contact with the prince earlier this week.
It is unclear if the 95-year-old has been tested. However, the source claims she has not shown any symptoms as yet.
Reports of the Queen’s health come in the midst of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. In 2022, Queen Elizabeth celebrates 70 years on the throne.
This is a developing story.
