Social media was abuzz with speculation, on Tuesday, around the reported death of Queen Elizabeth II following an article published by Hollywood Unlocked.
Has Queen Elizabeth II passed away?
The head of the Commonwealth has been on COVID-19 watch since last week, after she came into contact with her husband Prince Charles, who recently tested positive for the deadly respiratory virus.
The queen’s positive status was confirmed by Buckingham Palace, on Sunday, and as far as we know, the 95-year-old has been receiving medical treatment for COVID-19 as a fully vaccinated patient.
However, according to an exclusive published by Hollywood Unlocked, the world will be rocked by news of Queen Elizabeth II’s reported death soon.
Anonymous sources that apparently spoke to the cited publication claim the head of the Commonwealth reportedly died before she was due to attend the wedding of British Vogue editor Edward Enninful.
The gob-smacking news, delivered first by a celebrity tabloid, was ridiculed as fake news. It seems, social media users will only accept the reports as true when a statement is either released by the royal family, or if the news is reported by BBC.
Queen Elizabeth is not dead.

The @BBC will report it first, after her Private Secretary has advised the British Prime Minister.
There’s a very elaborate and well laid plan to announce her death.
Faced with backlash, Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee doubled-down on his ‘exclusive’, placing credence on the story on his reputation as a trusted news source, as well as the awkward silence from Buckingham Palace on the rumours.
This is a developing story.
