A heated exchange between Nicki Minaj and Yung Miami on Twitter has caused a stir, captivating social media users as the two artists engaged in a public dispute.
Nicki Minaj and Yung Miami trade blows on Twitter
On Wednesday, Minaj directed her comments towards Miami after learning that the City Girls member had used a phrase that Nicki claimed to have popularised on her own show.
In a quote-tweet response to Miami’s teaser for the latest episode of Caresha Please featuring Summer Walker, Minaj wrote,
“Hits Diddy to advise him that a young lady on a show that appears on his network seems to have ‘borrowed’ a very popular #QueenRadio catch phrase. Puff, who is representing you these days? I have my response ready to go, my dear YungMiami305, talking about getting into some things. Well, anyway, let’s move on…”
Yung Miami, known for the hit track Act Up, which previously ignited a feud with Nicki Minaj, quickly responded, saying, “Nicki, what’s really the problem??? Because I definitely didn’t get that from you LOL. ‘Let’s get into some things, Chile’ is actually gay slang, Lmaooooo.”
Minaj fired back, stating, “Caresha, you know very well that ‘gay slang’ is a popular choice these days. Let’s discuss it on #QueenRadio, my dear. If not, I’m reaching out to Puff right now. You know he used to manage me, right? Now it’s my man, my man, my man. Puff, what’s up? Hit me up, my dear @Diddy.”
Miami retorted, “Yeah, I’m on my way to his house. I’ll call you when I get there.”
Adding a touch of humour to the escalating situation, Minaj conducted a poll to mock Miami’s claim playfully. The comical voting options overwhelmingly suggested that Miami was being untruthful.
In response, Miami invited Minaj to bring her onto Queen Radio, tweeting, “I’m ready when you are, Ms bitch.”
Nicki concluded the back-and-forth with a whimsical statement, “stops typewriter Looks at the first legal draft rips it up Hears Puff desperately calling my line Doesn’t answer gets my questions ready for Ms Caresha.”
While Diddy remained uninvolved in the dispute, Yung Miami did take a moment to question Nicki’s use of the word “desperately” before calling it a day.
