AKA and his industry enemy, Cassper Nyovest, had an interesting encounter this past weekend that brought up old rivalry talk on social media.
Did AKA fight with Cassper Nyovest?
The two Hip-Hop heavyweights had the internet rumbling over a series of video clips taken by onlookers who were at the event held in Johannesburg on Sunday.
In the first clip, AKA stood a few feet away from Cassper’s section, seemingly gearing up to take the stage.
The Lemonade rapper eventually made it to the stage and performed several of his classics, but what fans were least expecting was for AKA to dig up old wounds with Composure, the song that escalated his rap feud with Cassper Nyovest.
AKA’s self-produced diss record was a direct response to an altercation that allegedly took place at Cantare nightclub, where Nyovest had approached his table and supposedly got smacked in the face after a heated exchange of words.
The gall AKA showed in performing the diss record in front of his ‘opp’ was not lost on fans, who captured the moment Nyovest stood up to witness his name being dragged deeper into the mud.
The timeline of events that transpired after this performance remains unclear. However, at some point, Nyovest and AKA were caught on camera engaged in what fans believe was a fiery argument.
According to Cassper Nyovest, however, what fans thought was a heated confrontation between two enemies was, in actual fact, a cordial conversation about their long-awaited exhibition boxing match.
“Lol. I was just chatting with lil man and asking how he is doin? Wanted us to talk on the side,I told him it was time to finish this, as man. He ain’t want no smoke. I’ll tell you one thing, that guy ain’t coming to see me in the ring anytime soon. Nothing but fear in his eyes,” Cass tweeted.
Nyovest further taunted AKA into accepting the proposal.
