However, a certain interview with Victoria in the first episode of the docuseries highlighted a subtle disagreement between the couple regarding their respective backgrounds.
In the episode, Victoria expressed her initial attraction to David, attributing it to their supposedly similar working-class backgrounds. She remarked,
“I think also we both come from families that work really hard. Both of our parents work very hard, we’re very working class.”
At this point, David interjected from another room, urging Victoria to “Be honest!”
Victoria insisted that she was being honest, but when David questioned the type of car her father used to drive her to school in, she hesitated before acknowledging that her father owned a Rolls Royce in the ’80s.
The love saga between David and Victoria commenced when they met at a football match in 1997, and their relationship soon caught the fascination of the UK press, earning them the joint nickname “Posh and Becks.”
The couple tied the knot in 1999 and have since become parents to four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
Delving into Victoria Beckham’s early life revealed a more nuanced picture of her upbringing.
Born at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, England, and raised in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire, Victoria was the eldest of three children born to Jacqueline Doreen and Anthony William Adams.
Her mother worked as an insurance clerk and hairdresser, while her father was an electronics engineer.
The duo went on to establish an electronics wholesale business, providing a comfortable living standard for Victoria and her siblings, Louise and Christian Adams.
Additionally, Victoria’s lineage is traced back to notable individuals including German artist and revolutionary Carl Heinrich Pfänder, and Minnesota politician William Pfaender, shedding more light on her family’s history.
Beckham is currently streaming on Netflix.
