The tennis sensation, Naomi Osaka, recently shared a cryptic post on social media platform X, expressing a longing to watch the sunset with someone.
This vague message left fans speculating and concerned about the state of her relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Cordae.
The post read, “I just want someone that will watch the sunset with me,” a statement simple in its essence but cryptic in the context of her highly private relationship.
Responses from fans ranged from concern to disbelief, with many pointing their questions towards Cordae’s actions.
One fan queried, “The hell did Cordae do now?” reflecting the brewing speculations among the tennis star’s followers.
Another fan’s reaction hinted at a stereotype concerning relationships with rappers:
“After hearing ‘Make Up Your Mind’ (a song by Cordae) I still can’t believe she settled for a rapper. Single motherhood is almost guaranteed with them, unfortunately. Maybe her and the baby can watch the sunset,” the fan wrote.
Amidst the whirlpool of speculation, Cordae has remained silent on social media regarding his relationship status with Osaka.
Notably, his social media activity has been sparse concerning his personal life with Osaka, keeping in tune with the couple’s preference for privacy.
The couple, who welcomed their daughter Shai in July, has been notably private about their personal lives, sharing only glimpses into their journey together.
On the other hand, Osaka’s cryptic narrative spilt over to Instagram, where she shared a snippet from Solange Knowles‘s Binz intro from the 2019 album When I Get Home.
The story, shared on Tuesday, 17 October 2023, added more layers to the enigma surrounding her current relationship status.
The couple first made their public appearance during a date at an LA Clippers game in 2019 and have since been seen together at various events, including a rare red carpet appearance at the Met Gala in 2021.
