During a charity event, Strive BVI in the British Virgin Islands, Branson experienced a “colossal” crash that left him fearing for the worst.
His bike’s brakes failed at a crucial moment, leading to a collision that could have ended in tragedy were it not for his helmet and quick thinking.
Fortunately, he and his friend Alex Wilson, survived the incident with ‘friendship’ scars and a photo-op that will make for a good, nostalgic chuckle.
“We were cycling with Alex Wilson, who fell after me, but thankfully he was ok as well. I’m counting myself very lucky, and thankful for keeping myself active and healthy. After all, the brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all!” Branson posted.
This incident marks yet another entry in Branson’s history of close calls. Notably, in 2016, he suffered a similar fate when he crashed his bike, resulting in a cracked cheek and torn ligaments.
