After 14 years of its release, Madden is still the best football game, and they still have new updates that make the game more realistic. It focuses mainly on the NFL, but that doesn’t matter a lot considering that career mode is the most fun instead of focusing on building a team. Things changed a lot in the past years, and there are new tips and tricks that you can use in 2023.
As you would do research for the NFL odds, the same goes for Madden and in-game teams. Some clubs will have better statistics than others, and these small details are becoming more critical as the game improves. There are more things to look at, like the offensive lines, throwing, career mode, injuries, etc.
EA Sports and Electronic arts are doing a great job of creating a competitive environment, and the prize pool is getting bigger each year for the main tournaments. For the 2023 season, the prize pool is $1 million, from which the first place gets $250K. This might not seem like too much compared to other popular games like Fortnite or Dota 2, but they also don’t have as many players as these games.
Setup the Offensive Line
One of the things that have been updated in the 2023 version is how you can control the offensive line. You could do the same thing in the past, but the algorithm works much better, and you might see better results if you know what you are doing. You would want your Madden lines to be reliable like your NFL lines in real life before making a bet, so plan everything in advance and always check who you are going against.
Don’t Throw Directly to the Player
Another significant change is that you can turn on passing, where the QB will throw the ball in a particular area instead of focusing on a single player. When you make a direct pass, there is a chance that it will be blocked right away in both online and offline play. But, even if the chances of blocking are almost the same, throwing it in a part of the field gives you a significant advantage.
Because it is a new thing, you can basically do hail mary throws over and over again. There’s perfect timing for everything, so don’t use this advantage always, especially if you are starting from your 20 yards.
Tackle Assists
For many fans, one of the favorite things to do when playing on Vegas NFL odds is to watch the tackles. It’s a significant part of football, and that’s why Madden made new changes to how you can stop a player or even take the ball. There are new animations that look amazing, and you can save a few yards if you assist your AI when they are about to make a tackle.
Like in the actual sport, you should never stop chasing or hitting a player when they have the ball. Making a fumble is so much easier today, even for a QB which can be game-turning for anyone. If you force the tackle while they are being tackled, you have a bigger chance of a fumble than ever, especially if you come from behind.
Every Yard Matters
When you have players fighting for 2 yards in real life, you might stop and think, why we don’t have the same thing in Madden? The biggest problem was the animation, where you couldn’t do anything if the tackle was good. When the animation starts, you will fall, and the play will end.
In 2023, the animation will start when the tackle is started, but you could fight for more yards during the animation. Everything depends on which console you are playing because the options are different, but it usually involves spamming one key to try to break the tackle. In most cases, you won’t be able to break it; instead, you will take a couple of yards while pushing the player.
