Season 2 of The Kardashians premiered on Hulu on Wednesday, and the premiere episode was all about Khloe and her second baby dilemma.
‘The Kardashians’ Season 2: Khloe’s second baby makes on-screen debut
The second season of the hit reality TV show picks up with Khloe looking ahead at life as a single mother with her sister, Kim Kardashian, by her side.
However, the dilemma Khloe finds herself in has little to do with Tristan Thompson’s paternity scandal. In fact, the Kardashian sister, who shares a daughter, True, with the basketball player, has more significant worries to deal with, like the surrogate birth of her second baby.
In the first season of The Kardashians, it was Kim who broke the news to Khloe over the phone. What we did not know back then, however, is that in that viral scene where Kim insists Khloe should never have another baby with Thompson, moments later, the 38-year-old informs her sister that the couple had undergone an embryo transfer “like a couple days ago.”
Placed in its appropriate timeline, this means Thompson escorted Kardashian to her first of many surrogate appointments, well aware he had another child on the way with Maralee Nichols.
In the Season 2 premiere, Khloe, months after the Maralee Nichols scandal, is driven to the hospital by Kim, who, along the way, reminds her sister that “you’re never ready, but you’re ready.”
At the hospital, Khloe is in awe as she witnesses the surrogate birth of her second baby, a healthy boy whose name has not yet been unveiled.
“Ever since December, it’s been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I’ve been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy. It’s almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me,” she continued as a video montage of her and Kim holding the baby flashed across the screen,” Khloe reflected.
Here’s how social media reacted to Tristan Thompson
The entire episode of the new season was an emotional avalanche for Khloe Kardashian’s supporters. In the end, Thompson’s reputation as a womaniser suffered another blow.
