Baby momma ‘number three’ Maralee Nichols has formally launched her child support case against NBA star and serial womaniser Tristan Thompson.
Maralee Nichols child support case: Here’s what she wants
The Sacramento Kings ballet turned 31 on Sunday 13 March 2022, and while he may have been showered with gifts and birthday tributes from the likes of Drake, the mother of his third child gifted the star with a child support claim that may skyrocket his monthly bills.
As reported by US Weekly, the Texas-born fitness enthusiast approach a Los Angeles (LA) court earlier this month, seeking a monthly child support bill totalling $47 000 (est. R711 000), citing his celebrity lifestyle maintained by his $9.7 million annual earnings from the NBA as an indication of his capability to support his three-month-old son, Theo, whom he has yet to meet.
Moreover, it’s believed Nichols wants Thompson to also foot the bill for her legal fees which, over the course of her paternity case, have ballooned to more than $1 million (est. R15.1 million).
“With regard to child support, using Tristan’s income of $9.7 million alone and Maralee’s income of $0, Maralee at this time requests guideline monthly child support of $47,424,” the court documents note.
At the centre of Nichols’ argument is the fact that Thompson ought to be accountable for the livelihood of his son since, after all, she and Baby Theo are living “at a far depressed standard” than the NBA star.
Thompson also fathers daughter, True, with Khloe Kardashian, and Prince, whom he shares with Jordan Craig.
