Fans seem to believe Rihanna is pregnant again after the songstress blazed the trail at her 2022/2023 NFL Super Bowl Halftime show with what many have speculated was a ‘baby bump’.
UPDATE: A representative of Rihanna confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the singer is indeed pregnant again. Well, that settles it then. We are in for another nine months of Riri dominance in maternity fashion.
Is Rihanna pregnant? – Here’s what we know
Internet sherlocks were left gob-smacked by the sight of Riri’s protruding ‘baby bump’, which she made every effort to conceal with an oversized red jumpsuit.
Toward the latter end of her performance, the Work songstress went as far as masking her frame with a supersized puffer coat, further fuelling speculation that she and boyfriend ASAP Rocky may be expecting another bundle of joy.
Here are some of the pictures fans took showing what appears to be the ‘baby bump’ driving the rumour mill on overdrive about Rihanna’s alleged second pregnancy.
Outside of Rihanna’s spectacular solo performance, fans’ top priority, apart from the nostalgia of revisiting the bad gal’s stellar catalogue that’s not been updated in over five years, was getting to the bottom of what may be her second gestational journey.
However, at this time, neither Rihanna nor ASAP Rocky has surfaced with clarity on the supposed ‘baby bump’.
Much like her first pregnancy, the world may have to be patient and allow the Barbadian queen grace to bring fans into her motherhood at her own pace.
In January 2022, Rihanna broke the internet in a similar fashion when she and ASAP Rocky announced her pregnancy in a stellar photoshoot.
By then, the singer was well into her second trimester. Following what many may agree was an iconic gestational journey that saw her baby bump immortalised at the Met Museum, and countless controversial outfits that challenged the norms of maternity fashion, Rihanna gave birth to her son in May 2022.
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky first appeared in public at the 2019 British Fashion Awards, but as friends. Then, things got interesting when in January 2020, Rihanna officially broke up with billionaire Hassan Jameel.
Almost immediately, Rocky was spotted with the singer at a hotel in New York. Perhaps, he was the much-needed shoulder to cry on?
“Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan. They’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days,” a source told The Sun at the time.
Months would tumble on with teasers from the couple, whose affinity for fashion is clearly a love language.
Rocky was the first to publicly claim Riri in May 2021, where he declared his love for the star in a GQ interview.
“So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One,” he said back then.
