Makhadzi, the renowned musician, has vehemently denied allegations that she owes money to a producer named DJ Rabs Vhafuwi, dismissing the claims as unfounded.
Makhadzi blasts promoter over alleged R16K scam
The controversy arose when Rabs shared screenshots of a private conversation between him and Makhadzi on his social media platforms.
According to the screenshots, they discussed a payment of R16 500 that Makhadzi was supposed to settle. The payment was allegedly for the postponement of an event after she had already performed two songs.
In response to the allegations, Makhadzi took to her personal Facebook account to express her frustration and refute the claims. She accused Rabs of lying to the club owner about her demands for more money and then offering her insufficient payment.
Makhadzi expressed her disappointment in the situation and urged Rabs to examine his intentions. She also highlighted the financial losses she incurred due to the postponement and questioned whether she would be compensated for them.
This is not the first time the songstress has found herself embroiled in disputes with event organizers.
In a previous incident reported by Sunday World in April 2023, businessman Jeffrey Malatji claimed that Makhadzi failed to attend a show at Ejays Lounge in Moime village due to non-payment.
However, Open Mic Productions label manager Brenden Maseko refuted the allegations, stating that Makhadzi had never been booked for the event and challenging the organisers to provide proof of payment or an invoice.
