Anele Mdoda will be hosting the 2022 Miss South Africa (Miss SA) pageant finale this coming August. The Miss SA Organisation confirmed the news by announcing it on their social media platforms.
The announcement followed with Mdoda sharing the exciting news with fans through her Instagram.
Anele Mdoda to host the Miss SA finale for the second year in a row
The media personality is no stranger to the Miss SA stage. Last year Mdoda co-hosted alongside Survivor SA presenter Nico Panagio and, in the past, has also been a judge of the pageant five times.
In an interview with News24, the award-winning radio host mentioned that a full-capacity venue will encourage her to do her best. She said:
“I am very excited that we are back to a full capacity arena because a packed arena suits my energy levels and always motivated me to work just that little bit harder to ensure that everyone has a good time and really enjoys the evening.”
Having previous experience with the Miss SA pageant, when asked if she had any advice for the contestants, Mdoda responded that the women should try to enjoy themselves and avoid obsessing over what they look like and a possible wardrobe malfunction. She told News24:
“They should not worry about what they think they look like or whether they answered a question correctly or if something happens to their hair or dress when they’re on stage. No one cares. If they are having a good time, everybody else is having a good time.”
