The announcement of Usher’s participation was made on social media, with a playful parody of his iconic Confessions, Pt. II skit.
The post featured a lineup of entertainers and NFL stars, including Kim Kardashian and Deion Sanders.
In response to the news, Usher expressed his excitement, stating:
“It’s an honour of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
Usher’s involvement in the Super Bowl Halftime show is not his first; he previously graced the stage during the 2011 Super Bowl alongside the Black Eyed Peas, who headlined the show that year.
Recent Super Bowl halftime performances have featured some of the music industry’s biggest names.
In 2022, Rihanna took centre stage while pregnant, delivering a memorable show.
In the same year, Dr Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent joined forces for a remarkable collaborative performance.
