Tuesday 31 March marks a year to the day that Los Angeles rapper and father of two, Nipsey Hussle was gunned down outside of his Marathon Clothing retail store.
The world of music was rocked by the news that came in from the corner of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard on Sunday 31 March 2019.
Nipsey Hussle, after a brief confrontation with the suspected shooter Eric Holder, suffered fatal gunshot wounds outside his popular retail store.
The death sparked outrage that reverberated throughout the world and in many cultures.
The very idea of giving back to the community that raised us was tainted by the belief that those who we seek to help could very well be the same people who prey on our downfall.
Nipsey Hussle murder: What’s the latest with the trial?
Those who seek revenge for what Holder allegedly did have been waiting patiently for justice to take its course. However, there has been a deadlock in securing a commencement date for the trial.
According to The Grio, 14 April has been tentatively agreed on as the end date of the murder trial which is expected to last for two weeks.
The issue slowing everything down at this time is the start date which, to our knowledge, has not been confirmed yet.
If found guilty, Holder faces life in prison for murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

“Thought is powerful in all phases. Even in my career, even in my life, things end up exactly how I visualized them.”
“I’m about seeing long-term, seeing a vision, understanding nothing really worthwhile happens overnight, and just sticking to your script long enough to make something real happen.”
“Without a game plan and without a strong sense of faith in what you’re doing, it’s gonna be real hard to accomplish anything.”
