The microphone famously thrown by Cardi B during her Las Vegas concert has become the centre of attention as it is now up for auction on eBay.
Microphone Cardi B tossed at Las Vegas fan on auction
The microphone, which the rapper tossed into the crowd while performing Bodak Yellow at Drai’s Beachclub, is being sold by Scott Fisher, the owner of audio company The Wave.
The auction aims to raise funds for two charitable causes, Friendship Circle Las Vegas and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Operable Mic Sold for a Cause
Despite the incident, the microphone remains in working condition. As reported by TMZ, Fisher confirmed that the mic Cardi B used during the performance is the one being auctioned off.
He explained in the eBay listing that it was easy to identify as it was marked “main.”
The specific microphone model is a Shure AD2 Axient Digital, which typically retails for around $1 000 (est R18 441) for new versions. However, buyers should note that they would need to purchase a receiver if they intend to use the microphone for its intended purpose.
The proceeds from the auction will benefit two charitable organisations—Friendship Circle Las Vegas and the Wounded Warrior Project. Friendship Circle Las Vegas focuses on providing support and friendship to children and young adults with special needs, while the Wounded Warrior Project aids veterans and service members who have suffered physical or mental injuries.
At the time of writing, the eBay listing for Cardi B’s thrown microphone had already garnered a substantial bid of $50 700, which in South African Rand, converts to a staggering R934 991.
The auction is expected to generate significant interest, given the uniqueness of the item and its association with the popular rapper’s performance.

In a subsequent live stream, the rapper defended her reaction, stating that being hit with water and ice was painful.
The incident sparked discussions online, with some questioning the appropriateness of the response.
Further videos revealed Cardi B’s DJ encouraging the crowd to “splash her down” amid the intense heat, though it’s unclear whether this occurred before or after the drink was thrown.
Following the incident, an unidentified individual reported a battery to the Las Vegas police in connection with the microphone-throwing incident.
