Toronto police are investigating a shooting incident that took place outside of Drake‘s house in the Bridle Path area early Tuesday morning, leaving one man seriously injured.

According to reports, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, at approximately 02:09 EST (08:09 CAT), emergency services were called to the vicinity of Park Lane Circle and Post Road following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they found one man with serious injuries, though these were not life-threatening. He was promptly transported to a hospital for medical attention.
The area outside Drake’s mansion was quickly cordoned off with police tape as authorities began their investigation.
Witnesses reported seeing a suspect fleeing the scene in a vehicle shortly after the shots were fired. However, descriptions of the suspect and the vehicle remain unclear, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
Was Drake harmed in the shooting?
The police have confirmed that the Canadian rapper was present at his residence at the time of the incident but was unharmed.
The incident has raised concerns about the rapper’s security measures, although there has been no immediate indication that he was the intended target of the gunfire.
Following the event, security presence around his property has been notably increased as a precautionary measure.
Does this have anything to do with the Kendrick Lamar beef?
The shooting incident comes amid a heated and highly publicised rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, which has seen both artists exchange harsh words and accusations through their music.

However, despite the timing of the shooting shortly after these musical exchanges, there is currently no evidence to suggest that the incident is connected to Drake’s ongoing dispute with Lamar.
Authorities have not indicated any links between the feud and the events outside Drake’s home, treating it as a separate criminal matter.
