The financial tribulations of Angela White, widely recognised as Blac Chyna, were laid bare in her ongoing custody duel with former partner, Tyga.
Blac Chyna reportedly hit financial rock-bottom: Here’s what we know
Legal documents from her custody case with her rapper ex revealed Chyna has resorted to selling personal belongings to preserve her financial steadiness.
In the documents obtained by TMZ, Chyna disclosed that she has been selling her apparel, purses, and shoes either through an online consignment store or directly to individuals she knows.
This venture has reportedly brought in over $178,000 this year, a crucial aid amid her declining business returns.
However, Chyna concedes that this is a short-term solution, as the items available for sale will eventually run out.
The primary cause of the financial strain seems to be the legal fees accruing from the custody battle for their son, King.
Chyna articulated that managing legal costs is becoming unfeasible without financial assistance from Tyga. Moreover, she voiced grievances about Tyga’s purported lack of communication and his withholding of crucial information regarding King’s well-being and living arrangements.
Chyna contends that Tyga has been reticent about sharing essential details such as King’s school location and medical prescriptions.
On the flip side, sources familiar with the circumstances claim Tyga has been handling most of King’s living costs, encompassing private school tuition and medical bills.
They also debunked the alleged communication barrier, affirming that King maintains his own line of communication with Chyna, which she can readily access.
In the backdrop of the custody dispute lies a tumultuous relationship history between Chyna and Tyga.
The duo began dating around 2011 and welcomed their son King in 2012. However, their relationship hit rocky ground, leading to their split in 2014.
Since then, the co-parenting journey has had its fair share of ups and downs, with the current custody battle bringing their financial and co-parenting challenges to the forefront.
Chyna is now urging the court to establish a fixed and regular schedule with King that Tyga cannot impede.
Furthermore, she has petitioned Tyga to foot a bill of $125,000 to cover her legal and accounting fees emanating from the custody skirmish.
