Gluttonous media hounds will have to chase pavements for intel on Adele and her billion-rand divorce settlement to husband Simon Konecki.
LA court protects Adele divorce details: Here’s what we know
As reported by The Sun, a court in Los Angeles has granted Adele the privacy she needs to finalise the legal part of her split with Konecki. Details concerning the “financial, sales or other confidential business information” will not be made available to the public.
Those who want to pry further will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, the court ruled.
The couple’s relationship has, for the most part of its duration, managed to stay off the tabloids. Their 2016 marriage was so close-knit and private, that the world only knew Adele was officially off the market when the multi-award-winning singer made the announcement in her Grammy acceptance speech.
Why did Adele split with Konecki?
The announcement of their separation in April 2019 was also something that was brought to the fore by Adele. Nobody has a clue how things turned sour between the couple.
At one point in the recent past, the 25 megastar had described her husband as “a very supportive partner”.
However, the recent court ruling has made it official that the couple, who share a seven-year-old boy Angelo, has resolved to go their separate ways and in the way of finalising that is an R3.2 billion divorce proceeding.
How much is Konecki in line to receive?
Speculations have been made that Adele never entered into a prenuptial agreement with Konecki. If true, the investment banker-turned-charity boss is in line to start a new life as a billionaire
Of course, in all of this, the child does not win. Nonetheless, the amicable nature of the couple’s co-parenting agreement has helped. According to a source who spoke to the cited publication, the main objective for Adele and Konecki is to get this done and dusted as soon as possible.
“Hollywood divorces can drag on for years and become extremely ugly. Adele and Simon clearly don’t want that,” the source claimed.
