Beyoncé, despite her significant impact on the country music charts this year, did not receive a nomination for the 2024 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.
Why was Beyoncé not nominated for this year’s ACM Awards?
Beyoncé’s Act II: Cowboy Carter achieved significant milestones shortly after its release, topping both the Billboard Country Albums chart and the all-genres Billboard 200.
This made Beyoncé the first black woman to lead the country chart.
Despite its success and record-breaking streaming numbers on platforms like Spotify and Amazon Music, the album’s March release date missed the eligibility period for the 2024 ACM Awards, which only included works released between 1 January and 31 December 2023.
Beyoncé’s album Act II: Cowboy Carter was released in March 2024. Therefore, it will be eligible for next year’s awards.
The 2024 ACM Awards, set for 16 May 2024, will take place at the Ford Centre at The Star in Frisco, Texas, and will be available for streaming on Prime Video.
This marks the second consecutive year the event is held at this venue, following a successful show in 2023.
