Comic Con Africa 2022 day three was a massive success if you ask me. Stalls were crowded, cosplay kings were crowned, and everyone flashed a smile.
Here’s what went down on the third day of Comic Con
On the third day of Comic Con, I found it much fuller than the last two days. Not to say that that is a bad thing in any way. In fact, it brought the convention to life.
The day looked promising from the time I parked the car. With so much to see and do in a limited amount of time, I had to ensure that I absorbed as much as possible from the day.

Shazam actor Ross Butler was set to make his appearance at 14:00. Dj Elliot built up suspense with Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey, and the crowd loved every second of it. When the main host asked Comic Con South Africa to welcome Butler to the stage, the crowd roared with excitement, me being a part of it.
Butler walked to the end of the stage, waved at his fans, and then proceeded to take his seat, where the interview started. The 32-year-old actor told the crowd that it was his first time visiting South Africa, and he had enjoyed every second of his trip so far.
When asked about the projects that he is currently working on, Butler replied:
“So Shazam two is coming out in March. You guys get to see me fighting.. I get to fight pretty good, I have a bunch of tattoos”
Butler continued:
“I finally got to do my first romantic comedy. We shot that in Taipei in, Taiwan. Got that coming out in the next year, I think. It’s called Loveboat, Taipei.”
After struggling to pronounce some local words such as “koeksisters” and “pap,” Ross decided to show off his impressive salsa dance moves.
He acted in Riverdale, 13 Reasons Why, and Teen Beach 2 alongside Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell.
What can you expect from day four of the convention
The fourth day is the final day of Comic Con, so I would advise you to get your tickets before it’s too late.

Guest spotlights include Selwyn Ward, Khylin Rhambo, Dylan Sprayberry, and Jamie Campbell Bower. Ross Butler will make another appearance at 14:00.
There will be more casual cosplay and Nintendo cosplay competitions, so another chance to see your favourite characters and find out who will take the crown.
More gaming competitions will occur at the various stalls in Hall 7, with many different prizes to be won.
I thoroughly enjoyed Comic Con Africa 2022 and will go again in a heartbeat. After having my views changed about the world of gaming and comics, I would definitely rate it 10/10.
