In the wee hours of Wednesday, burglars targeted a fast food outlet at Lyttelton Shopping Centre in Centurion, Gauteng.

Notably, the brazen robbery took place at a shopping complex situated close to the Tshwane Metro police department offices.
This particular store has faced five attempted burglaries in just four months, with two of those attempts being successful.
It’s not just this fast food outlet feeling the heat. Business owners in the area have reported multiple incidents in recent weeks. There’s a growing concern among the local community as these burglaries are becoming more frequent and brazen.
This wave of crime isn’t confined to Lyttleton Shopping Centre. Just last week, the Canal Walk Shopping Mall experienced a daring robbery.
Thieves targeted the gomaxx. store, which specialises in pre-loved Apple products. They made off with about 16 Apple MacBooks. The Cape Argus reported that this heist was executed in less than six minutes, right after the mall opened at 05:00.
Back in Centurion, investigations are underway, and there’s an increased police presence in the affected areas.
