Daejhanae Jackson, one of the suspects under the radar in the murder of Shanquella Robinson, has reportedly been arrested.
Shanquella Robinson murder: Was Daejhanae Jackson arrested?
Multiple reports suggest the supposed friend of the slain hairdresser who’s been on the run since early November 2022 was tracked to a hideout by Interpol and taken into custody in the late hours of Tuesday, 29 November 2022.
No further details have emerged on Jackson’s current status. It also remains unknown, this early in the report, which state she was arrested in.
As reported by Mexican media, however, Daejhanae Jackson may be held in federal custody and is reportedly awaiting extradition to Cabo, Mexico, where her murder case will be heard.
It seems Jackson’s fate in Shanquella Robinson’s murder case lies in the hands of the US government, which, according to The Guardian, may be considering a request made by Mexican authorities for her extradition.
This is a developing story.
Who killed Shanquella Robinson?
Shanquella Robinson died on Saturday, 29 October 2022, while on vacation with friends in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
The 25-year-old’s friends alerted staff members of the luxury villa they’d booked for the weekend and despite attempts to resuscitate her, Robinson tragically lost her life that fateful Saturday afternoon.
At first, friends of the hairdresser told her mother, Salamondra, that Robinson had died from alcohol poisoning. However, an autopsy report conducted on the 25-year-old turned the inquest on its head when it was discovered that she had, in fact, died from “severe spinal cord injury and atlas luxation.”
In essence, Robinson was murdered and had not died from a freak accident, as it was purported by her travel mates.
Soon thereafter, disturbing video footage caught on camera by one of Shanquella’s friends showed what had transpired shortly before her dead body was discovered.
A naked Robinson was repeatedly clobbered by a woman identified as one of her travel mates while the male recording the footage casually asked, “Quella’ can you at least fight back?”
The Charlotte hairdresser vehemently refused to defend herself and this is the last known footage of her alive before the grisly discovery made by the villa’s staff at 15:00 that fateful Saturday.

- Alysse Hyatt; and
- Nazeer Wiggins.
