Langenhoven Street double murder: Mom and son hacked to death
Law enforcement officials and emergency medics were called to a property on Langenhoven Street on Monday evening, in response to a distress call made by the Alberton Community Police Forum (CPF).
According to sources close to the situation, first responders who entered the property were met with a horrific crime scene: the lifeless body of a woman and her nine-year-old son.
At first, reports indicated this was an attempted burglary that quickly escalated into a horrific double murder. However, Swisher Post was reliably informed that this was fake news.
Alberton police have a suspect in custody, albeit, a statement has yet to surface confirming this and other crucial details about the incident.
Several reports have surfaced online, suggesting the double murder was perpetrated by the woman’s fiance. However, in the absence of a statement from police, the motive behind the tragedy remains unknown.
