This year’s market is a must-visit destination for shoppers, gamers, music lovers, and families.
Boasting performances from popular artists like Locnville and Jimmy Nevis, alongside the electrifying My Cape Town Moves dance competition, the event is expected to be a lively gathering for the community.
For the first time ever, avid gamers are invited to ply their console talents at the E-Sports Zone, which should host friendly and competitive e-contests over a variety of sports titles.
With over 150 stalls featuring health and beauty products, crafts, clothing, and toys, the market is a great showing of the vibrancy of Cape Town’s trading scene.
The event is not just a celebration of the festive season but also a significant contributor to the local economy. As highlighted by Economic Growth MMC James Vos, this market has historically contributed almost R10 million directly to vendors and generated over 400 jobs.
“In my books, that’s 400 families having a better Christmas because they had an opportunity to make a living in very difficult economic times,” he said
Attendees can look forward to an array of culinary delights, with 50 food bays serving a range of dishes from burgers and schwarmas to tacos.
