Entry Procedure
The competition has outlined a straightforward entry procedure where players are required to go through a multi-step registration process.
During registration, competitors will choose a unique username, referred to as ‘Display Name’, that will be used to identify them throughout the competition.
The ‘Display Name’ should be globally unique, have at least five characters, and adhere to EA’s guidelines including no vulgar language or infringement on third-party intellectual property rights.
Another key element in the registration process is assigning a ‘Team Manager’. Be ready to provide the elected Manager’s email address for further confirmation.
To launch your journey to global stardom and EA FC history, players have to reach Division 4 in Ultimate Team Rivals to gain access to the Competitive game mode and the FC Pro Open Ladder.
Access to Competitive game mode will be granted within five days of completing registration and reaching Division 4.
Competition Rules
The EA FC Pro competition has set forth a stringent code of conduct to ensure fair play and sportsmanship.
This code of conduct applies to all competitors at all levels of competition. Some of the rules include a prohibition against:
- Violating any law, rule or regulation as determined by EA.
- Use of any software or program that damages, interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another’s computer or property.
- Harassment, threatening, bullying or engaging in hate speech.
- Use of vulgar or offensive language.
- Physical abuse, fighting or any other threatening action directed at any competitor, spectator, Event Official, or any other person.
- Engaging in any form of match-fixing or collusion.
- Use of drugs or alcohol while participating in the competition.
- Failure to follow instructions given by Event Officials and security personnel.
Prize Money
The prize money has been allocated across various levels of the competition with a total of $ 2,000,000 (R38.7 million) up for grabs.
The prize distribution is as follows:
- EA SPORTS FC Pro Open Global Qualifier: Total prize money of $180,000 (R3.48 million).
- EA SPORTS FC Pro Open Regional Cups: Total prize money of $320,000 (R6.19 million).
- EA SPORTS FC Pro Open Championship: Total prize money of $500,000 (R9.68 million).
- EA SPORTS FC Pro World Championship: Total prize money of $1,000,000 (R19.3 million).
