Durban traffic: Congestion and travel advisory for Monday, 13 May 2024
Monday morning has seen substantial traffic congestion across Durban, particularly affecting the N2 Southbound.
Traffic is heavily congested from the ramp to Inanda Road I/C (M21) extending past the ramp from Umgeni Road I/C (M19).
Motorists are advised to expect significant delays in these areas.
Additionally, ongoing roadworks on the N2 between EB Cloete I/C and Umgeni I/C and between KwaMashu I/C and Umdloti I/C are contributing to the slowdown, with lane restrictions in place.
Similarly, the N3 is experiencing congestion due to roadworks between Cato Ridge I/C and New England Rd I/C, as well as bi-directional roadworks between M13 Exit (Paradise Valley) and St James Avenue (Pavilion).
Drivers are urged to drive cautiously, especially given the current weather conditions, which include mist and fog affecting visibility on the N3 between Hilton I/C and Umlaas Rd I/C.
