Yevgeny Prigozhin was on passenger list of crashed private jet
Startling developments have emerged surrounding the private jet crash as reports suggest that Prigozhin, a notable figure in Russia, was listed among the passengers.
The Russian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed this information.
Prigozhin, a once-close confidant of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has garnered attention for his involvement in various domestic and international spheres.
In June 2023, Prigozhin led a short-lived mutiny against Russia’s top military officials, a move deemed traitorous by President Putin.
Following this incident, he was dispatched to Belarus.
Prigozhin’s activities extended to the international stage, as he released a video from Africa where he spoke about promoting freedom on the continent.
The video, in which Prigozhin appeared in camouflage attire holding a rifle, touched on the operations of the Wagner Group, which he described as efforts against terrorist groups in the region and expressed a desire to expand its presence in Africa.
While unconfirmed reports have suggested that the private jet belonged to Prigozhin, the details regarding his presence on the flight remain unclear.
