These claims, as reported by BBC, include sexual assault, physical abuse, and faked miracles. Joshua, a prominent religious figure during his lifetime, was the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos State, Nigeria, and was known for his so-called miraculous healings.
The investigation involved accounts from eyewitnesses and alleged victims from multiple countries, with some of the most recent experiences dating back to 2019. Testimonies suggest that Joshua abused and raped young women several times a week for nearly two decades.
Rae, a former disciple from the UK, recounted how she hoped Joshua would cure her homosexuality but instead faced psychological trauma and sexual abuse.
Bisola, another disciple, stated she was raped multiple times by Joshua and was coerced into recruiting virgin girls for him. Jessica Kaimu, a journalist from Namibia, reported being raped by Joshua at the age of 17.
The report also exposed the role of Joshua’s male personal servants in clearing up physical evidence of this abuse and the elaborate faking of miracles. Agomoh Paul, a former senior church member, admitted that the miracles were often scripted.
These allegations are not isolated within the religious community. Recently, TD Jakes, another popular pastor, has faced allegations of misconduct. A YouTube channel, Tuff News TV, alleged that Jakes attended sex parties hosted by rapper Sean Combs, also known as P Diddy.
It was claimed that Jakes slept with multiple men at these parties, and a young male, allegedly groomed by Jakes, has acquired a lawyer to sue him for an incident that occurred when he was 16.
Jakes’s ministry has denied these allegations, and Jakes himself addressed them at a church service, denying any wrongdoing.
