CCTV footage of a horror crash surfaced on social media, showing how a Joburg taxi driver miraculously made it out alive.

The footage was posted on Twitter by renowned crime reporter Yusuf Abramjee, on Tuesday. The incident, according to the metadata found on the footage, occurred in Joburg’s CBD on the morning of Saturday 5 June 2021.
The CCTV clip starts a second before two taxis coming from different directions smashed into each other. At 00:02. you can actually see the driver of the taxi that caused the accident being flung out of his seat at high velocity.
Miraculously, the driver gets up and watches on in horror as his unoccupied taxi trails off the road and into a closed store. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle that was parked outside this store was agile enough to skirt out of the way before the taxi could ram him from behind.
Seeing the extent of the damage he caused, the driver was seen running off in the other direction and away from the scene of the accident.
At this time, it is not known if both taxis were carrying passengers. Moreover, the condition of the taxi driver whose minibus was hit is unknown.
