Prince Harry’s long-awaited memoir appears to have a publication date and a title at last. Here’s everything you need to know, including the release date, title, and how to pre-order in South Africa.
When will Prince Harry’s memoir be published?
As per The New York Times, Harry’s memoir will be released on 10 January 2023. Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Harry supposedly felt compelled to revise the book, which was previously scheduled for release in November. The memoir’s title is SPARE and references Prince Harry’s royal “spare” to Prince William’s heir.
It shares details of Princess Diana’s funeral, as well as various other royal family events. Furthermore, a sombre image of the Duke of Sussex is featured on the cover.
“SPARE takes readers immediately back to one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow-and horror,” the publisher wrote.
“As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling — and how their lives would play out from that point on,” the statement continues, “For Harry, this is his story at last.”
A brief description of the book was shared on the publisher’s website on Thursday, 27 October 2022.
In addition to his memoir, Harry and Meghan Markle also have a Netflix docuseries which is set to hit the screen in 2023. Their docuseries was set to release in December this year. However, it was delayed as well. It was postponed because of the backlash that The Crown season 5 faced.
