Mariah Casillas, an OnlyFans model renowned on social media by her handle Lavagrll, found herself in the midst of controversy after using a nude fundraiser to collect donations for Maui wildfire relief efforts.
Mariah Casillas nude fundraiser: Here’s why GoFundMe took down her campaign
However, her unconventional fundraising approach hit a roadblock as GoFundMe, the crowdfunding platform she utilised, shut down her campaign.
Casillas garnered attention by offering to send nude photos to individuals who donated at least $10 to aid the victims of the devastating Maui wildfires.
Her fundraising initiative, while unconventional, managed to attract significant attention and contributions from the online community.

Despite the initial success of the campaign, GoFundMe abruptly shut down Casillas’ fundraiser.
A spokesperson for GoFundMe stated that her campaign was removed due to a violation of the platform’s terms of service, particularly the section related to “prohibited conduct.”
As a result of the campaign’s removal, all donors who had contributed to Casillas’ fundraiser have been refunded.
Undeterred by the setback on GoFundMe, Mariah Casillas has since moved her nude fundraising campaign to OnlyFans, a subscription-based platform often associated with adult content.
In response to the Maui wildfires and the desire of donors to contribute towards rebuilding efforts on the island, GoFundMe has established a centralised hub dedicated to the cause.
This initiative aims to facilitate legitimate and policy-compliant fundraising efforts, devoid of any unconventional approaches like Casillas’.
