The saga unfolded when Majimbo took to her TikTok page on Thursday, 15 February 2024, to air grievances against Campbell in a video that quickly went viral across social media.
However, as swiftly as it appeared, the video vanished, with Majimbo opting to delete her exposรฉ from the public eye.
“Naomi obviously never force fed me alcohol. The situation led to the action. My action. As I said, my part was played and responsibility is mine,” she wrote in one tweet.
This move, albeit made to, perhaps, protect her from a potential legal onslaught from an entertainment powerhouse, sparked a flurry of reactions, raising eyebrows and questions about the motivations behind her decision.
“I stand by my words. Content in my decision. The tweets are deleted due to seeking peace, not fear. Yall need to understand this is something that has happened since I was 19. My goal now is happiness,” Majimbo explained.
At the heart of the controversy are Majimbo’s accusations against Campbell, suggesting the British runway icon used psychological warfare to drive to alcohol addiction.

In the now-deleted video, Majimbo laid bare the evolution of her relationship with Campbell, detailing a series of interactions that began in December 2020.
Their acquaintance started when Majimbo reached out to Campbell on Instagram during one of the supermodel’s visits to Nairobi. This initial contact led to an invitation from Campbell for Majimbo and her brother to join her on a getaway trip.
Majimbo expressed excitement about spending time with Campbell, an icon in the modelling world, and recounted their shared experiences, including shopping and decorating a Christmas tree, which was highlighted in an episode of Campbell’s vlog, Being Naomi.
Majimbo was also featured on Campbellโs show No Filter With Naomi, where she discussed her burgeoning fame on TikTok. During a day at the beach, Campbell proposed the idea of Majimbo making a documentary about her life in Kenya, subsequently introducing her to Hollywood contacts.
Later interactions included Majimbo spending time with Campbell’s team in Nairobi, where it was revealed to her that Campbell felt she had played a significant role in Majimbo’s success. Majimbo clarified the timeline and nature of their meeting in response.
In June 2021, Campbell celebrated Majimboโs 20th birthday on Instagram, suggesting a cordial relationship at the time.
However, the dynamic appeared to change by March 2022, following a conversation about a short film Majimbo had made, which Campbell perceived as an execution of the documentary idea she had suggested without her involvement.
Despite Majimbo’s attempt to clarify and continue the conversation, their communication broke down, leading to Campbell indicating that their conversation would be their last.
Majimbo respected Campbell’s decision but noticed a downturn in her career, which she suspected might have been influenced by their fallout.
Despite attempts to reach out and apologise, Campbell eventually asked Majimbo to cease contact. An encounter with Edward Enninful, then editor-in-chief of British Vogue, exacerbated the seriousness of the situation for Majimbo.
Efforts to reconcile through mutual contacts eventually led to a New Year’s wish from Campbell in January 2023, indicating a possible thawing of relations.
Majimbo concluded the video by reflecting on the impact of Campbell’s endorsement on her career and stating that, despite the complexities of their relationship, they were neither friends nor enemies.
Reactions to Majimbo’s exposรฉ and subsequent retraction have been mixed, with many expressing disappointment and confusion over her decision to “fold” after making such bold claims.
Campbell, who recently blazed the trail at the BAFTAs 2024 in London, has yet to entertain Majimbo’s claims.
