Eastern Cape
The western half of the Eastern Cape is set for a fine day, with hot to very hot temperatures but warmer along the coast. Coastal winds will start as light north-easterlies, strengthening to fresh to strong north-easterlies.
In the east, morning fog is expected in interior areas, followed by fine and warm weather, hot in the west. The coast will experience moderate to fresh north-easterly winds.
Free State
A fine and warm to hot day is expected, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme western regions.
Gauteng
The province will experience cloudy conditions initially, with morning fog on the Highveld, shifting to partly cloudy and cool weather. The UVB sunburn index is anticipated to be extreme.
KwaZulu-Natal
The province will be cloudy with morning fog over interior regions, shifting to partly cloudy and cool to warm weather. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly. The UVB sunburn index is predicted to be moderate.
Limpopo
Limpopo will see morning fog patches along the escarpment, then turning to cloudy and cool to warm weather.
Mpumalanga
Residents can expect morning fog along the escarpment, followed by cool and cloudy weather throughout the day.
North West
The day will be fine and warm to hot, transitioning to partly cloudy conditions later.
Northern Cape
The province will be fine and warm to hot, very hot in the west. Partly cloudy conditions will develop with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the west and south-west. Coastal winds will be light to moderate southerly, freshening at times, and turning moderate north-westerly later.
Western Cape
A fine, warm day is forecast, turning very hot over the interior and extremely hot in the Karoo and Breede Valley. Partly cloudy conditions will appear in the afternoon, with light rain in the northern and extreme southwestern areas and very isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme north-eastern parts.
Coastal winds will shift from moderate to fresh north-westerly to westerly to south-westerly in the afternoon. The UVB sunburn index is expected to be very high.
