Throughout the afternoon, the sunny weather persists with temperatures slightly dipping to 20°C, before settling to clear with intermittent cloudy periods in the evening at around 17°C.
Durban
On Thursday, 2 May 2024, Durban is expected to experience partly cloudy conditions throughout the day with temperatures ranging from a low of 20°C to a high of 26°C.
There will be minimal precipitation, around 0.3 mm, suggesting a mostly dry day. Winds will be moderate, averaging around 4 m/s.
Johannesburg

- Gauteng: The weather will be fine and warm, with temperatures rising to hot levels in the extreme north. The expected UVB sunburn index is at an extreme level.
- Mpumalanga: The region will experience hot temperatures on the Lowveld with morning fog patches up to the escarpment; conditions will clear to fine and warm later.
- Limpopo: Expect morning fog in the extreme southeast, clearing to a fine and warm day, but with hot temperatures in the Limpopo Valley and southwestern Bushveld.
- North-West Province: The forecast is fine and warm to hot throughout the day.
- Free State: The day will be generally fine and warm across the region.
- Northern Cape: Morning fog patches are expected along the coast with partly cloudy and cool conditions; inland areas will be fine and warm to hot. Coastal winds will be light to moderate, southerly to southwesterly.
- Western Cape: Morning fog patches will be present along the west and southwest coasts, turning partly cloudy. - Eastern Cape: The western half will be fine and warm, hot in places in the north, with light to moderate north-easterly winds along the coast. The eastern half will have morning and evening fog patches south of the escarpment, becoming partly cloudy.
- KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy conditions in the east, with cloudiness and morning fog over the interior, but fine and warm by day. Coastal winds will be light to moderate north-easterly, increasing to fresh in places south of Richards Bay by late afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.
