Eastern Cape
In the west, morning fog in some areas, is followed by partly cloudy skies and warm to hot temperatures. Coastal winds will be light to moderate south-westerly. In the east, morning fog over the interior, then fine and warm to hot weather, with isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the north-east. Cloudy with drizzle along the coast and adjacent interior. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly.
Free State
Initially fine and warm to hot, shifting to partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, except in the east.
Gauteng
Partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
KwaZulu-Natal
Morning fog in the interior, then partly cloudy and warm, clearing in the afternoon. Coastal regions will have moderate south-easterly winds in the extreme north, shifting to moderate to fresh north-easterly elsewhere. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
Limpopo
Starting cloudy in the east with fog patches then becomes partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Mpumalanga
Morning fog along the escarpment, transitioning to partly cloudy and cool weather with isolated thundershowers; warmer in the Lowveld.
North West
Generally fine, warm to hot, escalating to very hot in the north-west. Partly cloudy skies in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape
Clear at first, then partly cloudy, hot to very hot conditions prevailing, particularly in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the east. Coastal areas will experience fresh to strong south-easterly winds.
Western Cape
Morning coastal clouds clearing to fine and warm to hot weather, but very hot in the Central Karoo. Moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly coastal winds. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
