Eastern Cape police have questioned two suspects, including the ex-boyfriend of Uluntu Stuurman, in connection with her brutal dismemberment.

The body of the 22-year-old was discovered headless after days of searching in the village of Upper Indwana, where she had been staying with relatives in Tsengiwe, both under the town of Cala in the Chris Hani district.
Her ex-boyfriend and his friend have been arrested and questioned in connection with the heinous murder.
The head was eventually found on Sunday, 19 May 2024, bringing a devastating closure to the search.
Stuurman’s ex-boyfriend and his accomplice were reportedly seen inquiring about her whereabouts, pretending to be concerned family members.
This deception allowed them to gather information on her location from unsuspecting community members.
It is believed that they kidnapped her from her home and took her to the mountains, where she was murdered and dismembered.

The two young men in custody, including Stuurman’s ex-boyfriend, played a critical role in the investigation due to their direct connection to the victim.
