Royal AM owner and business magnate Shauwn MaMkhize released an official statement in response to very serious accusations levelled against her and her son, Andile Mpisane, by his former lover and mother of two children, Sithelo Shozi.
Shauwn MaMkhize brands Sithelo Shozi a liar
On Tuesday, Shozi set the internet ablaze when, in a series of since-deleted Instagram stories, she exposed Mpisane as an alleged abuser, who’s supposedly assaulted her in front of his family and friends in the past, and caused her miscarriage.
Mpisane, who left Shozi during the first trimester of her second baby to marry Tamia Louw, was heard on a recorded phone call dishing out a number of shocking threats to Shozi.
In one of the clips, MaMkhize’s son was heard making death threats and, in text messages leaked online, ordering Shozi to move to Pietermaritzburg, warning that he was going to be the cause of her destruction.
MaMkhize, in response to the shocking claims, categorically denied any and all knowledge of her son’s alleged actions. In fact, the businesswoman, who brands herself as an anti-gender-based violence (GBV) activist, went as far as rubbishing Shozi’s allegations as “false and defamatory.” This, however, despite the fact that Shozi leaked photos of her bruised and battered face and a consent form she signed at a psychologist appointment proving she’d sought therapy for her scarred mental health.
“I would like to categorically state that neither myself nor my family have been witness to any alleged abuse against SIthelo [Shozi] and further like to highlight that these allegations are false and defamatory,” she said.
MaMkhize added she will no longer address the matter in public and that her lawyers “will be handling everything in relation to this matter.”
“It’s of the utmost importance that we let the law takes its course in this regard,” she said.
