Raiden Hagedorn: Illinois teen burglaries Michael Jordan mansion
As reported by Lake and McHenry County Scanner, neighbours alerted the Highland Park Police Department of a burglary in progress at the NBA icon’s property on Point Lane, Illinois, at approximately 16:10 CDT (23:10 CAT).
When authorities arrived on the scene, they found Hagedorn still inside the house, and it was quickly learned that the Chicago Bulls legend currently owns the property.
Hagedorn was charged with two misdemeanour counts of criminal damage to property, as well as criminal trespass of an occupied residence.
The 56 000-square-ft property includes nine bedrooms, 19 baths, an infinity pool, an indoor basketball court, and even a cigar room.
The property has been on the market since 2012, and it was initially listed for $29 million (est. R529.2 million) and later dropped to a reported $14,855,000 (est. R270 million).
Michael Jordan has not lived in the home since he put it on the market in 2012, and he was not present at the time of the burglary. Jordan’s estate was recently used in a music video for rapper Travis Scott‘s single “FRANCHISE” featuring Young Thug and M.I.A.
As of now, it is unclear what Hagedorn’s motive was for burglarizing Jordan’s mansion or if he had any connection to the NBA star. Hagedorn is facing several charges, including criminal damage to the property, and is currently in police custody.
