The chickens have come to roost for Nzuzo Njilo, the eccentric husband of reality TV star and part-time rapper Faith Nketsi.
Nzuzo Njilo house raided: Here’s what they took
As reported by City Press, Njilo’s property in Hyde Park, one of Johannesburg’s wealthy suburbs, was raided by debt collectors on Friday, 19 August 2022.
According to sources with intimate knowledge of the humiliating event that will sure ring loud at Hyde Park ‘tea’ parties, Nzuzo Njilo pleaded poverty as collectors, accompanied by a sheriff of the High Court, descended to claim assets in his property.
From what we understand, the sheriff was executing a court order granted to Bazuka Attorneys to collect movable assets from Njio’s property to make up for the R978 104 debt he’s dodged — until now.
While the seizure did not necessarily yield desired results, collectors did manage to confiscate assets worth R35 000, including:
- beds;
- a fridge;
- couches;
- television sets; and
- a microwave.
Sources close to the situation claim the sheriff could not seize Nzuzo Njilo and his wife’s two vehicles, a Mercedes-Benz and the Range Rover he supposedly purchased for Nketsi, since, as it turns out, these were rentals leased from a dealership in Sandton, Johannesburg.
“He told us that he does not have much and that the cars are rented. He also asked to make payment next week to save the things we managed to attach,” the source told City Press.
On top of this, the couple, who recently welcomed their first child, Sky Njilo, has been thrust into gossip about being recently kicked out of a private hospital due to affordability issues.
Njilo’s woes, however, are far from over.
Nketsi’s embattled husband is embroiled in a criminal matter involving a forged proof of payment slip that he’d allegedly sent to Lund Industries, a company that paid Njilo R1 million for the delivery of copper concentrate.
