Faith Nketsi-Njilo may see her husband, Nzuzo, face criminal charges related to a fraud case recently filed by his ex-business partners.
Why is Faith Nketsi husband accused of fraud?
In a City Press exclusive, penned by Julia Madibongo, the writer who has an open harassment case filed against the reality TV star, two accusers, Blaine Evans and James Stephens, made startling allegations against Nzuzo, whom they claim ran off with a figure close to a million rand, conveniently a month before the couple traded vows in a top-billing wedding ceremony.
Now, no links have been made between the monies splashed at the nuptial event and the R978 104 payment made by Evans and Stephen into Nzuzo’s ABSA bank account.
However, the timing of it all cannot be ignored. According to Evans, who spoke candidly to the cited publication, he was introduced to Nzuzo, by a mutual friend, as a fellow trucking business owner.
“I thought, ‘okay, this is cool.’ He also told me that he owned a chrome mine. We were in steady communication and had another meeting at Tang in Sandton, which he attended with Faith. We talked a little and discussed a few business deals,” Evans recalled.
A deal was secured for a large shipment of copper at the value of R978 104, and Evans, along with his business partner Stephens, honoured their part by making the electronic transfer into Nzuzo’s account.
However, weeks rolled by with no response from Nzuzo who, at the time, was preoccupied with the wedding. According to Evans, after dodging calls for a while, Nzuzo finally surfaced in a meeting and promised to provide the business partners with a full refund.
Again, this was a lie, Evans said.
“Nzuzo Njilo defrauded us,” Evans said.
The matter has since been transferred to debt collectors and Nzuzo is listed as a prime suspect in a fraud case filed at the Douglasdale police station.
