We are closing in on the end of Q1 (first quarter) of 2020 and new music just keeps coming in.
Last week, we were blessed with projects from the defiant leader of the Hot Girl sorority, Megan Thee Stallion, Jhene Aiko, Lil Uzi Vert and veteran New York rapper Jadakiss.
New music hype: Don Toliver drops off Heaven or Hell
Another release that, for some strange reason, crept under the radar was Lil Yatchy’s Oprah’s Bank Account which featured two of the biggest rappers in music, Drake and DaBaby.
Alas, this week’s releases are very interesting. They carry a certain mystic about them.
For one, a huge congratulations go out to Cactus Jack’s Don Toliver for getting the go-ahead from the powers that be to drop his debut album Heaven or Hell.
Jay Electronica on a mystery rollout of A Written Testimony
The Hip Hop community has also been intrigued by the rollout of the genre’s most evasive rapper.
Jay Electronica is on the verge of releasing his debut album, A Written Testimony, 10 years after he inked a deal with Roc Nation, and fans have lost a lot of sleep trying to figure out when the album is going to drop since no official release date was announced.
On Thursday, Jay Elect dropped the official tracklist written in Islamic text. A rough translation of the tracklist has since done the rounds on social media and by all accounts, it is believed that Travis Scott and The Dream are the only artists featured.
Although no mention of Jay-Z is made on the tracklist, there is enough reason to believe that he will have a prominent presence on the album.

In terms of single releases, Tyga dropped off the much-anticipated club banger of 2020, FREAK featuring the self-proclaimed nympho Megan Thee Stallion.
