Kim Kardashian has, for the most part, ignored the antics of her soon-to-be ex-husband Kanye ‘Ye’ West and, rather, spent much of her effort on a heightened PR campaign to reintroduce the 41-year-old as a single supermom.
Kim Kardashian opens up about true motivation behind divorce
In the midst of ongoing turmoil prompted by Ye on his Instagram page, Kim caused a raucous of her own when she graced Vogue’s February cover.
In the interview titled I’ve Chosen Myself, Kim opened up about her decision to seek permanent relief from her marriage to the Yeezy co-owner, who she has accused of defamation.
“For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you,” she said.
The Kardashian sister made it clear that her decision to divorce Ye was prompted by the absence of happiness and self-love in her 10+-year-long marriage. At the foot of her 40s, Kim admitted she wants the decade to be all about her.
“My 40s are about being Team Me. I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram. Khloé came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, ‘Post and ghost.'”
Kanye West begs for Kim after Vogue interview
Images from the Vogue shoot, where, from a PR perspective, Kim was positioned as a super-cool and independent mom, surfaced on the internet and reached the attention of her deeply scorned ex.
It seems, Ye could not fathom the sight of the family portrait that, once upon a time, was not complete without his presence.
By the looks of it, Kim has moved on and this is something Kanye might have to deal with. Except, this is not the case…
