Here’s why Justin Bieber cancelled the rest of ‘Justice World Tour’
Bieber announced that he is once again taking a break from touring, this time for an unspecified period.
Taking to his Instagram account, he shared:
“After resting and consulting with my doctors, family, and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows but it took a real toll on me.
“This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio, and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me, and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now,” Bieber continued.
“After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being,” Bieber said.
The 28-year-old pop star postponed a series of concerts earlier this year after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. A rare neurological condition that left him suffering facial paralysis.
The Holy singer first shared that he had been diagnosed with the syndrome in June 2022. He then posted a video of his face on Instagram.
He said: “As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move.”
What does this mean for South African ticket holders?
With Bieber’s Justice World Tour concerts now cancelled, South African Beliebers are wondering what to do with their tickets.
Show promoters Big Concerts have responded to queries via a statement on their social media platforms. The entertainment agency also assured South African fans not to worry if they had purchased tickets already.
Bieber was set to perform on 28 September 2022 in Cape Town and on 1 October 2022 in Johannesburg.
South African ticket holders for Bieber’s world tour will be refunded “if the SA leg of the tour gets cancelled”.
